Ticket Purchase & Reservation
By purchasing a ticket, you are reserving your spot for a styled photography shoot hosted by The Shootout Society. Your ticket is valid only for the event date and shoot experience specified at the time of purchase.
Non-Refundable Policy
All ticket sales are final and non-refundable under any and all circumstances, including but not limited to:
Personal illness or emergency
Travel complications or weather conditions
Schedule conflicts
Dissatisfaction with the event
Changes to event details as outlined below
Your ticket cannot be held as credit toward future events or transferred to a different shootout date.
Payment Plans & Installments
If you select a payment plan option at checkout:
Payment Schedule & Processing
All installment payments must be completed by their scheduled due dates
Payments are processed automatically on the due date specified in your payment plan
Failed payments will be automatically retried within 48 hours
You are responsible for ensuring your payment method has sufficient funds and valid billing information
Failed Payment Protocol
If an installment payment fails after automatic retry attempts:
You will receive notification via email and/or direct message
You will have 72 hours from notification to update your payment method and successfully process the outstanding payment
Failure to complete payment within 72 hours results in automatic ticket cancellation
Cancellation Due to Non-Payment
If your ticket is cancelled due to failed payment:
All previously paid installments are forfeited and non-refundable
Your reserved spot will be released back into available inventory
Partial payments cannot be held as credit toward future events
You will need to purchase a new ticket at current pricing if you wish to attend
Repeated payment failures or intentional non-payment may result in ineligibility for future payment plan options or event attendance
Ticket Guarantee
Your spot at the event is conditionally reserved but not guaranteed until all installment payments are successfully completed. The Shootout Society reserves the right to release your spot if payments are not completed as scheduled.
No Exceptions
Payment plan terms apply equally to all circumstances, including personal emergencies, schedule conflicts, or event changes as outlined in this policy.
Ticket Transfers
If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your ticket to another photographer for the same event. You are responsible for:
Finding your replacement attendee
Collecting payment from them
Notifying The Shootout Society at contact@theshootoutsociety.com at least 24 hours before the event start time
Note: Tickets can only be transferred if all payments have been completed in full. Tickets with outstanding installment payments cannot be transferred until the payment plan is satisfied.
Transfers submitted less than 24 hours before the event will not be accepted. Failure to attend without completing a valid transfer forfeits your ticket with no refund.
Event Changes & Modifications
The Shootout Society reserves the right to make reasonable changes to event details, including but not limited to:
Venue/Location: Event location may change within the same general geographic area (e.g., within Joshua Tree region) due to availability, permits, or unforeseen circumstances. We will notify attendees of any location changes as soon as possible.
Vendors/Models: Specific vendors, models, stylists, or other personnel may change due to availability or circumstances beyond our control. We will provide comparable alternatives that maintain the quality and aesthetic of the experience.
Schedule/Timing: Event start times, duration, or schedule may be adjusted by up to 2 hours from the originally stated time.
Styling/Setup: Specific décor elements, color palettes, or setup details may vary from inspiration materials while maintaining the overall aesthetic vision.
These modifications do not entitle ticket holders to refunds or credits. We will make every effort to maintain the core experience and aesthetic promised.
Event Postponement
If The Shootout Society must postpone an event due to extreme weather, natural disasters, permit issues, or other circumstances beyond our control:
Your ticket will automatically transfer to the rescheduled date
If you cannot attend the rescheduled date, you may transfer your ticket to another person using the process outlined above
No refunds will be provided for postponed events
Event Cancellation
In the rare event that The Shootout Society must cancel an event entirely (not postpone), ticket holders will receive:
Full refund of ticket price, OR
Credit toward a future Shootout Society event of equal or greater value
The Shootout Society is not responsible for any additional costs you may have incurred, including but not limited to travel, lodging, or equipment expenses.
Photography Rights
Any photos (edited or unedited) or galleries you submit to or share with The Shootout Society may be used for marketing, promotional, educational, or commercial purposes without additional compensation.
Liability Waiver
By attending, you acknowledge and accept all risks associated with the event and agree to hold The Shootout Society, its owners, vendors, and partners harmless from any injury, loss, or damage.
Modifications to Terms
The Shootout Society reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Changes will not apply retroactively to tickets purchased before the modification date.
